America, 26-03-26 (Press Ki Taquat): 26 people died due to the storm that occurred late Friday night in Mississippi, USA. Hail the size of golf balls fell during heavy rain in the area. Thousands of people’s houses lost electricity. On Saturday, emergency services launched a rescue operation to pull out people trapped in the debris. However, many people are still feared to be trapped in the buildings destroyed by the storm.

US President Joe Biden spoke to officials and ordered help to be provided as soon as possible. Emergency services have reported that dozens of people have been injured and many are missing due to the dangerous storm. The death toll may rise. On the other hand, there is a possibility of storm again today i.e. Sunday night, due to which the lives of about 20 lakh people are at risk.

According to the BBC report, the speed of the storm was so fast that due to this, the debris spread in the disaster flew up to 30 thousand feet. The storm remained on the ground for about 1 hour. Mississippi Mayor Tate Reeves said that a rescue operation is being conducted in the affected area.

Most of the destruction occurred in the town of Rolling Fork, Mississippi. A person who lives here told the New York Times that the speed of the storm was so fast that it broke all the windows of the house. More than half of the city has been completely destroyed.

The US Emergency Management Agency said that the storm has caused more destruction in an area of 160 km. Even before the storm hit, many people had sent their families to live with relatives in other US states. Emergency services also evacuated many people from the area. Also, Friday’s storm reminded people of the 2011 storm, in which 161 people died.
