Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini said that, as envisioned by Maharishi Valmiki, bringing Punjab’s economy back on track and instilling a sense of security in the heart of every citizen will be the first step towards Ramrajya. On this auspicious occasion, let us all resolve to walk on the path shown by Bhagwan Valmiki. Let us adopt the path of equality, harmony, and compassion shown by him in our lives and make an important contribution toward creating a fear-free, drug-free, and prosperous society.<\/p>\n
Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini was addressing a massive pilgrimage organized on the occasion of Bhagwan Valmiki Pargat Utsav in Jalandhar on Sunday. This grand pilgrimage is departing from Jalandhar to the sacred pilgrimage site (Tapobhoomi<\/i>) of Bhagwan Valmiki, Shri Ram Tirath in Amritsar.<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister said that Adi Kavi Bhagwan Valmiki was the guide for all humanity, and a great master of decorum (maryada<\/i>) and social justice. By composing the Ramayana, he gave society the life narrative of Maryada Purushottam Bhagwan Shri Ram. Through this, he offered immortal teachings on the art of living, character building, and high human values.<\/p>\nValmiki Gifted the Divine Saga of Bhagwan Shri Ram<\/h3>\n
Shri Nayab Singh Saini stated that Bhagwan Valmiki was a sage among sages and a yogi among yogis who ushered in the flow of the name of Ram. He presented human society with the gift of the divine saga of Bhagwan Shri Ram. It was by chanting the name of Ram that he became a Maharishi. It is our supreme good fortune that we have witnessed the construction of the grand and divine temple of his heart\u2019s sovereign, Bhagwan Shri Ram Ji, in Ayodhya.<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister said that Bhagwan Valmiki taught us that a person becomes great not by birth, but through their actions and thoughts. His teachings show us how to establish an ideal society where no one is considered small or big, and every individual receives the right to live with equality and respect. He added that the primary purpose of power and governance is to serve the person standing at the very last rung of society. In his epic Ramayana, he envisioned a society where there was no place for sorrow, fear, discrimination, helplessness, and injustice.<\/p>\n
He said that as we celebrate the Pargat Utsav of Bhagwan Valmiki, we must also reflect on the conditions of society in the light of his teachings. The holy land of Punjab has been the sacred soil of Gurus, Seers, Saints, and brave heroes. This land has always shown direction to the nation, strengthened the country\u2019s food security, and sacrificed everything to defend its borders.<\/p>\n
He expressed deep sorrow and concern over the state of affairs currently prevailing in Punjab, calling them deeply troubling. Today, the youth of Punjab are getting trapped in despair and the snare of drugs. The law-and-order situation is deteriorating, and administrative mismanagement has left ordinary citizens, farmers, laborers, and youth feeling cheated. The lack of direction and foresight evident in the policies and intentions of the Punjab Government has halted the pace of Punjab\u2019s development.<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister emphasized that a true ruler and government are those who work day and night for the welfare of the people and guide the youth in the right direction, creating an atmosphere of safety and justice in society. However, when governments back out on their promises, leave the youth to their fate instead of providing employment, and choose politics of division over harmony, the message of Ramrajya given by Maharishi Valmiki becomes even more relevant.<\/p>\n
He stated that administrative failures are coming to light in Punjab today\u2014whether it is the failure to establish the rule of law, economic distress, or playing with the future of the youth. All of this stands as proof that those in power have strayed from the teachings of Bhagwan Valmiki and our great Gurus.<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister added that Bhagwan Valmiki taught us that peace and progress in society are possible only when every section stands united and shares in each other\u2019s joys and sorrows. Punjab today needs the same moral and social renaissance. Protecting the youth of Punjab from drugs and connecting them with quality education, skills, and employment will be our true tribute to him.<\/p>\n
He highlighted that in Haryana, 40 lakh people are benefiting from the Ayushman scheme by connecting poor families to healthcare services. Today, the government takes care of medical treatment for the elderly. Apart from providing houses to 2 lakh families, women are receiving \u20b92,100 every month. He concluded by sharing that out of the 217 resolutions made to the public, the Haryana government has already fulfilled 76.<\/p>\n
