On October 22nd, 2024 \u2013 Thapar Polytechnic College, Patiala, witnessed a grand start to its
\nhighly anticipated annual Technical cum cultural event, Tech Utsav 2024, with an impressive
\nturnout of over 1,700 students from 37 schools on the first day. The two-day event is set to attract
\nover 3,000 students from more than 70 schools, and Over 200 innovative projects were
\nshowcased by the talented students of TPC."
\nThe event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Sh. Anil Bhargava, Chairman of the Managing
\nCommittee, TPC. Guest of Honors Dr. Ajay Batish, Deputy Director, and Chief Academic
\nadvisor TIET Patiala, and Dr. Gurbinder Singh, Vice-Chairman, managing committee TPC,
\ndirector LMT school of management, Derabassi and Registrar TIET Patiala were also present.
\nThe dignitaries were warmly welcomed by Principal Dr. Ankush Kansal.
\nThe ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the National Anthem.
\nPrincipal Dr. Kansal delivered an inspiring opening address, highlighting the college\u2019s
\nachievements over the past year in his annual report. He expressed pride in the students'
\ncommitment to innovation and excellence.
\nThe Chief Guest, Sh. Bhargava, in his address, commended the college for its dedication to

\nThe ceremony continued with the esteemed presentation of prizes to the college\u2019s Punjab State
\nBoard toppers and outstanding academic achievers of the 2021-24 batch. Notably, a
\ndistinguished student from the Electrical Engineering department was conferred the prestigious
\nOM Parkash Garg Scholarship for the 2023-24 academic year, a momentous honor bestowed by
\nthe honorable Chief Guest and other distinguished dignitaries.
