This discontent has been simmering within the party ever since SAD suffered a significant defeat in the 2022 Assembly elections.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, this entire episode has brought to light the surprising shift in allegiance of a prominent journalist, Barjinder Singh Hamdard, who had previously supported Sukhbir.<\/p>\n<p>The recent Lok Sabha elections proved to be a major setback for the SAD, as the party not only failed to secure victory in 10 out of 13 seats but also lost its deposit in those constituencies.
