This statement was made on Tuesday following the rejection of the Centre’s proposal by farmers, who have decided to persist with their ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest.<\/p>\n

The rejection of the Centre’s proposal, which involved the purchase of pulses, maize, and cotton crops at MSP for five years through government agencies, was announced by farmers a day prior to Jakhar’s remarks. Bhagwant Mann, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, had participated in the meeting where this proposal was presented.<\/p>\n
