He has been asked to appear before the central probe agency on January 18.<\/p>\n<p>In a letter addressed to the ED assistant director, Kejriwal had said the Election Commission of India had decided to hold the elections to the Rajya Sabha from the National Capital Territory of\u00a0<a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/section\/cities\/delhi\/\" rel=\"noamphtml\">Delhi<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Kejriwal had earlier cited\u00a0<a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/about\/rajya-sabha\/\" rel=\"noamphtml\">Rajya Sabha<\/a>\u00a0elections, Republic Day celebrations and the Enforcement Directorate\u2019s \u2018non-disclosure\u2019 and \u2018non-response\u2019 approach as reasons for not appearing for questioning before the investigating agency.<\/p>\n<p>This was the third time he had, through a letter, questioned the validity of the summons and skipped questioning. While referring to the two letters sent to the agency in the past, Kejriwal said it was a \u201cmatter of concern\u201d that no response was received.<\/p>\n<p>In his previous responses, Kejriwal had called the summons \u201cmotivated\u201d and alleged they were \u201cissued for vexatious considerations\u201d.
